Rotary Bangalore Basaveshwaranagar was charted on 7th March 1990. The club was sponsored by Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar. Rtn.Prabhu K.M. was the Governor’s special Representative. The club had 26 Charter Members. A Banker by profession Rtn. Prabhu G. P. L was the charter president and Rtn R. M. Kamath as charter secretary of the club. The club earnestly started Humanitarians service in the community in and around Basaveshwaranagar The main focus of the club in the coming years was to develop projects based on well identified community needs.
